Why You Should Buy CBD Oil for Anxiety

February 28, 2019

It's time to get rid of that anxiety for good.

Anxiety is one of the biggest reasons why you should buy CBD oil. But wait, we're getting ahead of ourselves.

The Western world of the 21st century teems with life in abundance. There has never been a greater variety of jobs you can pursue, and buying your groceries is so easy, you don't even have to leave the house to get them.

However, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. Modern life comes with its downsides, too. It's stressful: traffic is a nightmare, if you live in a city there's a high chance you can see through your neighbor's window, and the hours at work are long.

Raising children isn't as empowering as it used to be. I know that my personal journey with motherhood has been rife with stress and anxiety. I feel this underlying pressure to do more with my life than just be a mum. Everywhere I go, the first question on everybody's lips is ‘so when are you going back to work?'

More than 3 million Americans are affected by anxiety. This is enough of a group to want to do something about it, and quickly.

I've been down the medication route many times. My own father is a doctor, which means that I was raised in a household that believes in modern medicine. However, through my own journey with pharmaceutical drugs and natural practices, I've come to the conclusion that neither are mutually exclusive.

The way I see prescribed medicine for anxiety is that it's just a band-aid. It might alleviate acute symptoms for a while, but eventually, it's going to come back. I got off anxiety medicine relatively quickly because I also didn't want to become dependent on it, either.

CBD oil is a natural product derived from the hemp plant. Hemp is a plant that is harvested from the part of the cannabis plant that isn't psychoactive, so you don't have to worry about any mind-altering side effects.

Hemp is incredibly versatile and becoming increasingly popular as society looks for different ways to make things that are naturally derived and can harmonize the planet. From textiles and fiber to food and medicine, there's a lot of products that can benefit from the hemp plant.

CBD oil has made quite a name for itself in recent years, as people have begun to cotton on to the health benefits that the hemp plant has, other than producing a recreational high.

CBD oil is a cannabinoid compound that interacts with your body's endocannabinoid system. This is the part of the body that is responsible for a general feeling of balance and composure.

This means that the endocannabinoid system can affect normal daily functioning like an immune response, pain levels, appetite, sleep, hormones, and mood. It's not hard to see that this part of the human body is essential to your overall well-being and quality of life.

This means that you need to take care of it as best you can. Surprisingly, due to the fact that many people don't know too much about this part of their body, there's only a select few that really focus on support the health of this system.

The main reason for this could be that up until a couple of years ago, cannabinoids were simply not a part of the regular modern diet. Having been closely associated with marijuana and its recreational effects for a long time, hemp has struggled to break free and be exposed to the health elixir that it really is.

So, back to the anxiety. How can CBD oil help with your anxiety? There have been upwards of 23,000 studies done in recent years to prove how CBD oil can help with things like stress, anxiety, and mood. These studies have produced medical indications that show results in areas of epilepsy, anxiety, chronic pain, inflammation, and cancer.

Sometimes, it can be hard to think about hemp without thinking about marijuana, too. However, additional studies have been conducted to prove that taking CBD oil does not have adverse side effects. The most common side effects you may experience while taking CBD oil is a dry mouth, drowsiness and low blood pressure.

One area that I have anxiety around is social. A lot of the time I'm okay, but I've certainly experienced the crippling effects that anxiety can have on you when you're in a crowded room, and you don't really know anybody too well. It can be completely destabilizing.

A 2011 study showed that CBD could help to reduce social anxiety. This study was particularly conducted around public speaking – and we all know how terrifying that prospect is.

Buying CBD oil to help with anxiety is something I didn't think I would ever consider. Yes, I've certainly become a lot more holistic and natural over the years and would consider myself all-embracing of the earth and what it has to offer us.

Getting my head around the thought of using a by-product of marijuana was hard until I actually tried it. Once I bought CBD oil and took it for my anxiety, I realized just how beneficial the hemp plant is at balancing out my endocannabinoid system and regulating feelings of stress and terror that I would get.
