You should be giving your body the best.
The best nutrition, health – and the best chia. Chia seeds have surged in popularity over the last few years as Western culture has cottoned on to some amazing ancient seeds and grains that would blow your mind if you knew how they could benefit you.
I first heard about chia seeds quite a while ago, when they began to pop up on smoothie menus as an ingredient or in any health food reading I did.
I’m always on the lookout for new ways to pump my body full of nutrition – and it’s about quality. The denser a food’s nutritional value is, the more appealing it becomes.
That’s why I think chia seeds are the best. It’s really quite astounding how much nutrition you can fit into something as small and insignificant as a chia seed.
Let’s take a look at why chia seeds are the best.

1. Aging and Your Skin
Chia seeds are best for skin because of the high levels of antioxidants you’ll find in them. In fact, the levels of antioxidants are so high that they were first miscalculated.
Chia seeds have up to 70% of free radical activity when it comes to these mighty antioxidants. This is a pretty profound percentage – I think I’m sold already. Anything to wipe years of sleepless nights and tantrums off my poor face.

2. Digestion
This might be my favorite best benefit of chia seeds because it's the first reason I turned to them.
Chia seeds have an extremely high level of fiber – in fact, just one serving of chia seeds can give you the recommended daily intake. Now that’s impressive. The more fiber you have, the easier food will pass through your gut, alleviating symptoms like constipation.
Because chia also absorbs water and expands in your stomach when you digest it, another reason why it's the best is that it helps you feel fuller for longer. Chia can help curb your appetite, making it a great addition to your diet if you're trying to shed a few pounds.
The gel that forms around a chia seed when it is in your digestive system can promote the growth of good bacteria in your gut.

3. Energy and Metabolism
No longer do you have to rely on that sugary red bull for your strength. There have been studies on chia seeds that show they're the best option when it comes to needing an energy boost for exercise – in fact, they work just as well as Gatorade.
Not only that, but chia seeds can also boost your metabolism. They can help to reduce visceral adipose tissue, which in layman’s terms is belly fat. This particular type of belly fat is known for getting in the way of your metabolism.

4. Bone Strength
They sure don’t look like milk – but they have a whopping 18 percent of the daily recommended intake of calcium.
Chia seeds are best for bone health because they contain boron. Boron is a nutrient that helps to metabolize minerals relating to your bones including magnesium and calcium, resulting in the growth of healthy muscles and bones.

5. Fight Cancer
Omega-3 fatty acids are an essential part of our diets, for a number of reasons. In this case, chia seeds are best for fighting cancer such as breast and cervical because of the high level of omega-3 fatty acids.
Omega-3 fatty acids limit the growth of cancer cells, particularly in the breast and cervical area.

6. Dental Health
Chia seeds are best for dental health because they’re rich in essential nutrients like phosphorus, zinc, and vitamin A. Zinc can help to prevent tartar from building up on your teeth, which inevitably turns into plaque.
Chia seeds also have an antibacterial effect, which can aid in the prevention of bad germs in your mouth, keeping your breath nice and fresh, too.

I think it’s safe to say that there’s a lot to be said for chia seeds. They’re easily one of the best seeds when it comes to your health and nutrition. What’s more, they’re easy to incorporate into your daily diet.
I love putting chia seeds in my smoothie or mixing them with my kid's yogurt in the morning that they have with oats. Because they are relatively neutral on flavor, I don't have to fight to get them into their little tummies.
When I do my shopping around, I make sure to find the best brands with high-quality products. That way, I know that not only am I getting a product that's safe for my family, but I'm also voting for a company that has the earth in mind.
Anthony’s organic chia seeds are the best. They have been batch tested and are gluten-free. I proudly stand by this company and the wonderful work they do promoting nutritionally dense products that you’ll benefit greatly from. Get Anthony’s chia seeds here.
